Ramseys File Suit Against Tabloid
The parents of Jon Benet Ramsey have filed a $25 million lawsuit against the Star, claiming the supermarket tabloid libeled their son in stories that identified the boy as the prime suspect in his sister's murder. The federal lawsuit, filed on November 30, alleges that Star stories subjected 12-year-old Burke Ramsey to "public hatred, contempt and ridicule." In the lawsuit, excerpts of which you'll find at left, John and Patsy Ramsey describe their son as a "happy, normal" boy who "did not have a twisted life or a twisted mind." (13 pages)
